Bobylev Ihor Mykolayovych
If you see a stylish and tastefully dressed man, whose image would be the envy of every Italian, it is our volunteer Igor. A man who knows all the world’s clothing brands and can compete with any fashion designer.
This is the first thing that will catch your eye, but read on for the main thing.
He was born and raised in the city of Kherson and has been living in Kyiv for the last 5 years .
By profession he is a welding production technologist. He worked as a rescue sailor and is now a professional builder.
Despite all the hardcomings his family has stayed in Kherson. They are going through all the difficulties together with other residents of the region.
His daughter left Kharkiv under fire in the first days of the full-scale invasion to go abroad, where she is now actively helping the military.
From the beginning of the war, Ihor decided to stay and look after his friends’ apartments and work sites, and thanks to our active director Serhiy, whom Ihor describes as a great colleague, experienced leader and loyal friend, he started volunteering in Kyiv region in 2022.
When Bucha, Irpin, and Gostomel were liberated, Ihor and his team went to provide humanitarian aid to the needy.
After that, he continued to fulfill volunteer assignments – delivering parcels and medicines to the people. Over time, we prepared and painted the first vehicle for the military, which unfortunately almost immediately got hit by an enemy anti-tank mine. This further encouraged Ihor to help and bring victory closer.
In February 2023, he temporarily moved to Lviv. Our foundation launched a new project called “Shelter” and Ihor, as a skilled and responsible builder, was called to manage the entire construction process and perform work that other volunteers could not.
After winning, he would like to visit his family in Kherson, return to the capital and continue doing what he loves – construction.
With great respect, he says he will continue to support our Serhiy. Ihor is very proud of him as the director of all projects and thanks to him Ihor has learned about volunteering, without which hecannot imagine his life. As he comments:
“I was drawn to doing good and pleasant things for others, it fills me as a person, I can’t do without it”
From now on, he is constantly helping friends and family, sending things and food, and it gives him great pleasure.
