Brilliantova Albina Volodymyrivna
A native resident of Lviv. Before the war, she led the office of a large tourist company.
From the very first day of the war, she started looking for ways to be useful. On February 24th, just like every Ukrainian, her life turned 180 degrees. Gathering all her strength and determination, she immediately began volunteering for the NGO “Warrior’s House,” while also assisting the first shelters organized in sports halls, beauty salons, and offices.
Over time, realizing that many confused people were constantly arriving in the city, not knowing what to do and where to go next, Albina, with her tourism experience, gathered and developed a database containing the following information:
– Free shelters, their addresses, and conditions.
– Accommodation options (short-term or long-term stay).
– Food support
– And other essential matters for the initial resettlement period.
In parallel, they organized transportation for people to the border or even to Poland itself. All of this was done by local Lviv residents, cooperating with each other.
With great optimism and a sincere heart, she talks about how someone was always staying at her place throughout this time. She still maintains a warm connection with all the temporary residents of her home.
In the spring, at the beginning of March 2022, she met some guys who offered her to join the Voznytsky Foundation as an evacuation coordinator. Later, volunteers from Poland, France, and Spain joined as well. This is how Albina remained in our foundation, actively contributing to its development even now.
Furthermore, in the volunteer history, in May 2022, the Patriarchal Pilgrimage Center appeared, where she led the “Evacuation” project. Over the course of a year, she evacuated more than 6,000 people from front-line settlements and resettled them. During the process of transporting people, the idea of her own shelter was born, which is actively operating and welcoming people every day.
Currently, the “Evacuation” project has concluded, but our activist continues to help in projects such as “Shelter”, “Children’s Camps” and “Humanitarian Aid” where she pours immense love for every person.
