The Center for Support and Protection is a humanitarian and social organization created in response to the challenges of war and people’s need for safety, support, and recovery.
Our work began in 2022 as a volunteer initiative focused on evacuating civilians and helping people who had lost their homes, stability, and sense of safety because of the full-scale war. Over time, this initiative grew into a structured organization that today implements humanitarian, social, and reintegration programs in the Lviv region and other regions of Ukraine.
Over the years, the Center has become a place of support for thousands of people. Our programs have supported internally displaced persons, veterans, families of service members, children, older people, and residents of affected communities. We have provided safe shelter, humanitarian aid, psychological support, social assistance, evacuation of civilians, support for medical and social institutions, as well as recovery and rehabilitation programs.
One of the core principles of our work is not only responding to the consequences of war, but also building a long-term support system centered on the person, their dignity, stability, and ability to return to an active life. We believe that recovery begins not only with humanitarian assistance. It begins with a sense of safety, human presence, support in everyday needs, and a space where no one is left alone with their difficulties.
Today, the Center for Support and Protection develops comprehensive models of support and recovery, combining humanitarian work, social case management, psychological assistance, reintegration programs, and partnership with state, international, and civil society institutions. The organization has experience cooperating with international humanitarian missions, charitable foundations, and donors from different countries around the world. Through this cooperation, we have been able to implement large-scale assistance programs, support thousands of people, and create effective mechanisms for responding to humanitarian challenges in wartime. We do not simply provide assistance — we create an environment of support, recovery, and social resilience.
Our goal is to create a system in which people who have experienced the consequences of war receive not a temporary solution, but a real opportunity to rebuild their lives and regain a sense of stability, dignity, and future. Today, the Center for Support and Protection continues to scale its work, bringing together partners, communities, international organizations, and caring people around a shared goal — supporting Ukraine, its people, and the country’s future recovery.
