Our teacher conducted a workshop emphasizing the importance of support and the ability to express it.
It started with choosing colors and applying them to the palms of hands. During this time, children had to come up with compliments they could say to the person they would give a hug to. These weren’t just handprints: it symbolized emotional support, encouraged positive thinking and boosted self-esteem.
After the hugs, everyone could write some words or leave their name on the t-shirts, creating a wonderful collective art.
Unfortunately, our meeting was interrupted by an air raid alert. But even in these difficult moments, we reflected together on how important it`s to show support and care for others. We often need help, but rarely express that we do.
A simple gesture not only reduces stress but also fosters the development of social skills and the ability to interact with others in children.
