Motanka dolls have been a sacred talisman of the Ukrainian people for a long time. But their production is also a way to distract yourself from bad thoughts. So volunteers organized a master class for the residents of the shelter Support & Protection Center UA.
«You need to put soul and energy into making these dolls. Dolls can have different meanings: to be guardians of your home, to help in other matters», – the craftswoman explained.
Children who were forced to leave their homes because of the war chose to make dolls-guardians for themselves and their family. Unfortunately, little Ukrainians were deprived of their childhood and our foundation is sincerely grateful to the organizers of the event, who provided a comfortable atmosphere for the residents of the shelter.
