We are pleased to inform you that on June 6, 2023, a shelter for internally displaced persons will be opened in Lviv.
The purpose of the facility is not for permanent residence, but rather as a place to catch your breath, recover from the accumulated stress and all the troubles that have occurred during the evacuation. Women, children, men, people with disabilities, anyone in need, of any age can settle here.
These are people who have evacuated from different places where military hostilities were or are ongoing. Many of them have nowhere to return to. Therefore, in times of war, it is very important to make plans for the future and take care of yourself and your loved ones.
According to the project organizers, they will coordinate and provide all those in need with consultations with psychologists, doctors, and, if necessary, lawyers. Different workshops and interactive activities will be organized for the children.
A variety of organizations, volunteers and people who are not indifferent have joined in the arrangement of the shelter.
During the stay, IDPs will be provided with:
- two meals a day;
- aid in the form of food;
- laundry and drying services;
- cleaning of the premises;
- aid in the form of household and hygiene products;
- provision of medicine.
The rooms are decent and filled with necessities, there are showers and separate lavatories on each floor, a kitchen where you can cook your own food, Internet connection thanks to which residents can communicate with their families and solve urgent issues.
The property has a yard with all the amenities and a playground.
It is important for us to provide IDPs with good living conditions. This is our great work and we would like to be useful in the future.
