Lukyanchenko-Kurochkin family The family is from Bakhmut district.
Danylo, Maryna and son David, 4 years old. They are indigenous residents of the city of Toretsk.
They lived, worked, had a business and their own homes. Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, they moved to Poltava, stayed there for several months, and realizing that it is better to be at home, because no one needs you in a foreign city, decided to return.
When they arrived in their hometown, they saw that it had been erased and no longer existed, a “ghost town”.
Having 2 apartments, we have nowhere to live, all destroyed by missiles.
There are few people, food is cooked exclusively on the fire, residents are trying to survive, humanitarian aid is rarely brought. It is a destroyed city where there is no living corner left.
We saw people lying at bus stops and on the road without arms, heads or legs. Everything is destroyed. The city is constantly being shelled, and there is not a day when the locals can catch their breath.
Every day it is getting worse.
Out of desperation, the family came to Lviv. The mother and son plan to go abroad, and the father to Dnipropetrovs’k region to visit his friends.
They are waiting for victory and a quick return home.
