Sofiia
Sofiia was born and lived most of her life in Khmelnytskyi. Later, she moved to Lviv to study at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, majoring in philology and translation. After graduation, she decided to stay in Lviv and build her life here.
While studying, like most students, she joined the translation of a manual for our pilots, an important task in times of war. In the summer of 2023, thanks to European youth exchange programs, she participated in one of them, promoting the culture of Ukraine. “We listened to music, learned the language, and, of course, talked about the war. It’s heartening that people are interested in the topic and willing to listen. Everyone went home with a small Ukrainian symbol – a pysanka.” Sofiia recalls that it was the first time she realized how powerful the sense of unity and joint action is.
Now Sofiia holds the position of communications manager at the foundation. Communication in social networks, website maintenance, and more is her responsibility. “I am glad that I can help in some way,” she says.
