Iryna Bedryk, a psychologist of the foundation, works with children in the Support & Protection Center UA shelter. She detects early signs of possible children’s problems and supports them in further overcoming them.
“The psychologist’s work with children is extremely important, as the foundations of psychological development are formed at this age”, – says Iryna.
In addition, the specialist communicates with parents or guardians of young residents of the shelter regarding their upbringing, growing up and maintaining a stable psychological state of children, which is especially important after evacuation from active combat zones.
The day before, Iryna Bedryk conducted a training on Internet safety at the shelter, from which children most often suffer. Online, they can become victims of cyberbullying, unknowingly share their personal information and even be exploited to create obscene content.
The psychologist taught children to distinguish risks on the Internet and take care of their own online safety, and also warned adults about possible threats.
