The week at the shelter ended with group art therapy. Families immersed themselves in creativity, creating their own unique painting “I am in the family”.
Each of them associatively depicted themselves on the canvas, and a real mosaic of their personal emotions and connections was created. It was a great way to better understand each other’s needs in the family and strengthen unity, to understand what helps to feel secure under different conditions and what creates the necessary emotional comfort in the family.
Now, each of these paintings will become not only an artistic work, but also an important part of the family history, reminding us of the importance of support and understanding. Afterwards, the family watched cartoons.
We are grateful for the opportunity to implement activities under the Shelter project thanks to the support of the Government of the Faroe Islands.
