On the eve of the day, another large-scale evacuation was carried out from the south and east of Ukraine. The Support & Protection Center UA sheltered nearly 40 people from Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv. Among the evacuees were large families, children, and people with limited mobility. There were also those whose homes were destroyed by the russians and who have nowhere to come back.
We are sincerely grateful to the volunteers who, risking their lives, evacuate people from under fire to give them a chance at rescue. Additionally, we thank our partners Crown Agents Ukraine for the powerful generator, which ensured the comfortable accommodation of the new residents in the shelter. Thanks to it, the shelter staff can perform their duties without interruption, and the residents have constant access to hot water and other necessary amenities.
We also want to express our gratitude to the Government of the Faroe Islands, a partner of our shelter! We are grateful for the support and the opportunity to continue the operation of the shelter, which has already become a temporary new home for thousands of Ukrainians.
